Scientific Overview

Epithalon (also spelled epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide based on a pineal peptide sequence. Cell and animal literature examines telomerase activity, telomere readouts, and pineal-peptide biology.

Mechanism focus

In vitro studies report telomerase-related effects and changes in telomere-length assays. The peptide is studied as a short pineal sequence, not as a growth-hormone secretagogue.

Research Use Cases

  • Telomerase and telomere assays in cell models
  • Pineal peptide research
  • Comparative studies of short peptide sequences
  • In vitro aging-model readouts

Use-Case Study Notations

  • Case-study notation (in vitro): cell papers report telomere and telomerase readouts after epitalon exposure.
  • Case-study notation: reviews describe epitalon as a pineal tetrapeptide with a still-developing evidence base.
  • Clinical translation is limited. This page does not present outcome claims.
